Coaches Corner: May 30, 2016
Congratulations to the Northampton Cudas on their WIN Saturday May 28 against the Stone Gate Gators, it was a tough meet and day, but we were victorious! The final score was 770 to 694! WAY TO GO CUDAS! We had many best times, top finishers, relay wins, CUDAS team records fall, Stone Gate Pool records broken, and lots of team spirit.
One of my favorite things about Saturday was the willingness within our team to help each other out in times of need- open volunteer spots filled, a few members stayed back to help other team mates rescue their homes before the flooding got worse, the dedication from everyone to get to and from the meet regardless if it took twice as long, and the list goes on. I am so proud of our team! Way to step up Cudas!
Cuda Record Breakers:
Will LeBlanc - Boys 9-10 25 Breaststroke 16.66
Brody Johnson - Boys 10 & Under 50 Freestyle 30.41
Madyson Chebret - Girls 10 & Under 50 Freestyle 34.80
Thank you to all of our hard working Assistant Coaches, Volunteers, and Junior Coaches that help make this team GREAT!

We are looking forward to our 4th dual meet against the Waves! All swimmers will need to be at the pool, checked in and ready to swim by 7:15 am. The meet should end by 2:00 pm. Meet days are long and hot, but they can also be a lot of fun! Be sure to sign up to volunteer, which makes the meet run more smoothly and it's also more fun!
The Coaches will review the meet entries and might need to move swimmers events around to make sure we have all of our strokes covered and have the best scoring lineup against the Woodlands Waves. On Saturday, please make sure to check your events because there might be changes to your entries.
Relays are being finalized for the meet this Saturday June 4. If you are planning to show up to the meet late or need to leave early at any future meets, please let Coach Laura know via e-mail for relay purposes by Tuesday night. If you are on relay teams A, B, or C in each age group you are expected to be at the meet and stay throughout. If you leave you are letting your team down and might not be placed on future relays. Thank you for your cooperation.
Things you will need at the swim meet: chair, sunscreen, at least 2 towels, Cuda swim caps & suits, goggles, fruit and other healthy snacks, granola, water and juice, permanent marker, games to keep you busy, music, book to read, clothes, an extra pair of goggles, Cuda spirit, and a positive attitude! If you eat sugary snacks and heavy food items it is best to wait until you are done with the meet so your energy is consistent throughout the meet.
