Sprint Sizzler Invitational Meet

LOCATION: Klein Oak High School, 22603 Northcrest, Spring, TX 77389.

Klein Oak is an 8 lane 25 Yard indoor pool.

TIME AND DATE:

Sunday June 4, 2017: Events: 25,50,100 Freestyle; 25,50 Backstroke; 100 IM; Freestyle Relays - Arrive by 8:30am, Warm-ups are at 9:00-9:25 AM in lanes 1-4; meet starts at 11:00 AM

There is only one warm-up a day.  Please arrive on time to warm-up so that your swimmer can adjust to the indoor pool with different starting blocks and so they can get their backstroke count.

Monday June 5, 2017: Events: 25,50 Breaststroke; 25,50 Butterfly; Medley Relays - Arrive by 3:00 pm, Warm-ups are at 3:30-3:47 PM in lanes 1-4; meet starts at 5:00 PM

VOLUNTEERS:  When it is time for your shift to volunteer, please check in before your shifts starts at the volunteer table.  It is located across from the pool entrance.  If you have not signed up to volunteer yet, there are open shifts listed at SwimTeam-us.com under the Sprint Sizzler heading.  All families who are participating in the meet must volunteer and it does not count towards your team volunteer credit.  We are one of the hosts of this meet and the meet cannot run without parent volunteers.  Please sign up today so that we can make sure all shifts are covered.

Meet time line: This is a pre-seeded timed finals meet.  The heat and lane assignments will be shown in the Meet Program, sold on the day of the event.

Team Set-up:  Setup is indoors, in the Commons of Klein Oak High School.  You will need blankets and chairs.  We will attempt to sit together as a team so please lookout for other Cuda families.

Items to bring: chairs, Cuda stuff, books, games, snacks (such as fruit, PB&J, clif bars, smoothies, veggies, trail mix), water, gatorade, sweats or robes or parkas (the air conditioned hallways can be cold for wet swimmers), extra towels, blankets, extra goggles and swim caps

Ready Bench: Since there are no tent parents at this meet, each swimmer (with their parent’s help for the younger age groups) is responsible to be at the ready bench area when their event is called.  Please know your event numbers (they are listed in the meet time line that is attached) and listen for when your event is called.  As this is our meet and all parents are volunteering in some capacity, please work together and help out parents and swimmers to make sure no child misses their event.

RELAYS:  All relays are 100’s, so each swimmer will only swim a 25 yard length.  There are 83 relays entered this weekend. I have attached the relay list, please check if your child has been placed on a relay.  These are multiage relays so your child could be listed under an age older than they are and some of them are mixed relays so boys and girls are swimming together, CHECK ALL RELAYS!  Please stay and swim the relay assigned to your child. Relays were compiled by top times and availability. All swimmers within each age group are alternates if needed. Relays are subject to change at the meet if needed.  If you know in advance that your swimmer cannot swim the relays assigned to them, please let Coach Laura ([email protected]) know so that an alternate can be arranged.

PAYMENT:  If you have not paid for your swimmer’s events, please bring me the cash or check made out to Northampton Cudas.  Each individual event they are swimming is $5/event.  Relays are paid by the team.  I will be collecting money at the meet on Saturday.  Please find me and give me payment, it will be very hard for me to track down people paying on Saturday as I will have many other things going on.
