Parents,

Many of you have asked about our plans for Time Trials in the case the weather is unsafe. So here is the short version of our plan:

If thunder, lightning, flooding, or other safety or operational obstacle causes Time Trials to be cancelled, then we will resume at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning the 2nd at the same pool.

If that Saturday morning event is cancelled, then a third option will be communicated later that day after the board and coaches confer.

Longer version:

The team's general attitude toward any of our events is that they will proceed as is until it is apparent that it is unsafe to continue. We will default to delays first and then to cancellations. All potential safety concerns could cause these steps to be triggered. Weather is the most common cause, but it could also be triggered by pool conditions, or pool equipment issues, for instance. So Time Trials is still a go for now. Also, as we are blessed with a heated pool, chilly weather will not cause a cancellation. Just be sure to bring something to keep your swimmers warm between events.
