We are so happy to have you join the Northampton Cudas
this year! I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce
myself. My name is Allison Wilson, and I am your New Cuda Contact this
season; I also help Keeli Goodnight with Pep Rallies and social
events for the team. My children, Thomas and Elizabeth have been swimming with the Cudas for 10+ years, and we LOVE summer swim!! This is going to be a fun season, and we can't wait to
get started! I will be reaching out several times over the course of
the season with information that might be helpful to new swimmers and
parents, but please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. No
matter the Cuda question, I can always find an answer! [email protected] or
713.569.0454. If you haven't requested to join our Facebook page,
please do so. Facebook and Remind are the fastest way to get
information to the team in the case of sudden changes and weather
delays. For Remind enter Northampton Cudas to join, and text message body is @9g924 The team’s website is a great resource for information,
and that link is Home - Northampton Barracudas (swimtopia.com).
And if you have a swimmer that is eligible for the Big Fish/ Little
Fish program, this is the link to our Cuda programs page. Cuda Programs - Northampton Barracudas
(swimtopia.com) Our Volunteer Coordinator, Allison Humphries, is always hard at
work getting things prepared to open volunteer spots for sign-up. There
will be a team wide email with all the information you need when the
sign up is available. Time Trials will be held THIS Friday, May 3, at the
Northcrest Pool. Each week you will receive an email reminding you to
"declare" your swimmer and select their events for that meet.
We recommend that you have your swimmer get a time at Time Trials in
all the events they are eligible to swim for the season, even if they
might not be ready to swim the event in a meet right now. Most kids
will be ready after a couple of weeks of practice, and they must have a
time from Time Trials in order to compete in that event in a meet. If
you have any questions about events or the process, I am happy to
answer them. There will be a Pep Rally each Friday night before a
home meet. The parties are for the whole family and are all held at the
Northcrest pool. They are always fun! We have different themes for each
party and the pool is always open. Each season we have a Biggest Splash
Contest, a Rice Krispie Creation Contest, and the week before
Divisionals is full of activity! Casino Night is the single "parents only"
party of the season. It is always a great time! Be on the lookout for
more information from our Casino Night Coordinator, Julie Tietze. I know this seems like a lot of information, but I
remember having a New Cuda, and we had so many questions. I will be at Time Trials on Friday, come by the CUDA tent and say hello! Please let me
know if there is any way I can help – no question is too small! Welcome to the team! Go Cudas! Allison Wilson [email protected] 713.569.0454 |
