You are receiving this email because your child(ren) are eligible to swim at Sprint Sizzler in 1 or more events!!!

2022 Sprint Sizzler entries are due! FINAL DEADLINE IS TODAY!

Thank you to those who have completed this, but for those who haven't yet: Whether you do or do not intend to have your child compete in this meet,please go to www.northamptoncudas.com by TODAY SATURDAY MAY 28 and RSVP with “YES” or “NO” on the Sprint Sizzler event.

NOTE: Your children CAN qualify for Sizzler on SATURDAY 5/28, just please register online right after the meet! We need EVERY team member to declare yes or no. Even if you have not qualified for sizzler we need you to do this. This will help us greatly in choosing relays and preparing for this big meet.

MEET RULES:

• Swimmers aged 13 and older may compete in all events.

• Swimmers aged 12 and under may compete in all qualified events. If they have qualified in at least two events, they may “bonus” any other event for which they have a time. Please let us know (leave me a note when you declare entries) which events they want to “bonus” so that we can make sure they are entered in them. The 50 Free and 100 IM for ages 10 & Under and the 100 Free and 100 IM for ages 11-12 are exempt from the “bonus” rule. Swimmers must achieve the time standard in order to enter those events.

If your swimmer signs up for Sizzler, then we require that your family fulfills one volunteer shift for each day that you swim, but please treat this as a minimum requirement. If you can help with 2 or more, this will ensure that all volunteer spots are filled. If your swimmer is not swimming at Sizzler, but you still want to help make our invitational great, it would be greatly appreciated if you could volunteer. The volunteer shifts at Sizzler are in addition to the 8 shifts that are required for the season, and if your swimmers are also in SSAN, then you will need to fulfill a SSAN shift and a Cuda shift. Volunteer shifts will open next week, so please select a shift or 2 when signing up your swimmer.

Attached is the NWAL meet announcement for the Sprint Sizzler Invitational. It has lots of details about the event and includes the time standards to qualify. Note: We have only swum in YARDS POOLS so far this season!!

The cost to attend Sizzler is $7 per event. The fees are the same as the past few years.

The Cudas will pay for all relays. Once you are signed up, please pay your fees to Erin Galloway by cash, credit, or check payable to Northampton Cudas. She will be at various meets and practices to collect fees and answer any questions that you may have. All payments are due by WEDNESDAY MAY 28. Erin Galloway or I will send you what you owe!
